My friend Joe sent this to me. Check out the first part about some history of rhyming and Eminem’s “Lose Yourself”!

YouTube Tuesdays: @Google & YouTube present A Conversation with Conan O’Brien
We’re back! This week I’m posting a talk Conan O’Brien did back in 2010 when he was between talk shows. :/ He’s always a great source of inspiration as well as comedy!

YouTube Tuesdays: F#*%? An Explanation of Curse Words
Hank posted this Friday and I thought it was especially awesome so I’m sharing it now. Why? Because swearing is awesome.
Look, this doesn’t mean swear around kids and such; no offense to kids, but they often don’t use swear words that well. Heck, you could be grown up and I still might think your use of swearing is not as good as my use of swearing! :) There’s swearing because you need to express emotions and then there’s also swearing because you need to convey emotions. Both are important and they’re not necessarily the same. For example, I swear a lot when I’m by myself because I use it to express. But sometimes I write swear words because I need to communicate an idea.
One of the most interesting things about language is how many different functions it serves. You can often see how people use expressive language when they should be using communicative language. And sometimes it happens the other way around, like when I try to tell myself to focus when I should just take a break, clear my mind and maybe even scream loudly just because I know it’ll calm me down in the end.
And yes, curse words are magic. (:

YouTube Tuesdays: Boo, Censorship!
I think Hank and John put this really nicely, so I’m reposting it here for your viewing pleasure. I wrote about online censorship last week and I’m here writing about it again. If you want to help out you can sign a petition, contact your congresspeople or just spread the word! Check out americancensorship.org for lots of good information about what you can do.
